Confession d'un Commissaire de Police au Procureur de la République
GDM Music presents on CD the complete edition of the OST by Riz Ortolani from the classic Police/Noir movie Confessione di un commissario di polizia al procuratore della Repubblica directed in 1971 by Damiano Damiani and starring Franco Nero, Martin Balsam and Marilù Tolo. A magistrate and a police commissioner have different methods to fight the mafia. The commissioner maintains that the Law is not enough and mafia must be confronted outside the legality and then he kills voluntarily a mafia boss. In the prison, he will be killed with an important witness. The magistrate will have to keep for investigating lonely, but very soon he will realize that only with the Law he cannot destroy the mafia. The muddy atmosphere of violence is well given by the orchestral score by Riz Ortolani between dramatic and romantic, with Beat Music themes' presence that break the anguish and tension of the plot. This CD contains the complete OST from the original stereo master tapes that gave the chance to include material previously unreleased on the original album.
